battery dead

have a 2002 ford explorer, gave a guy a jump start and my car die, got someone else to jump me and when i got home and turn the veh off, tried to restart it and it's dead. Need to know what might be the problem and where/what to look/check for.

Did you by any chance cross the cables when you jumped the other car?You should have seen great big spark. Check all the fuses to see if there are any blown. And it is possible the battery just died with the extra effort to jump the other vehicle.

Or maybe the battery cables got loosened from the battery when connecting the jumper cables. Make sure they are clean and tight?
