2000 buick park avenue front seat won't go up
When I first bought our 2000 buick park avenue, the front driver's seat would not go up. The dealer fixed it and it worked for a long time. Then the back portion of the seat quit working. That wasn't too big of a problem, but now the front portion won't go up. Can anyone help me with how to go about fixing this? It has power, because I can hear the motor trying to run, at least one of them. It acts like it's out of track or something, or maybe an arm from the motor has come loose. The other motor sounds like it maybe jammed and is not moving at all.
Another question: Will I need to take the battery cables off in order not to trigger the air bag?? My car only has the steering wheel and passenger front side air bags, no side door air bags as far as I know...
Thanks for any help you can give meSmile

hi sparkync-I would take the cable off the battery and let sit for 5 min sounds like the motor is good aat least on one way....I would probably take the seat out to check all the motors and wiring...also look under the seat closely to make sure nothing is obstructing the movement....crank.itSmile
