1988 acura legend

Our 1988 acura legend has a problem with the tail lights. when you turn on the light switch headlights come on and interior lights dim. Tailights will not come on but hazard and turn signals work. This has been intermittent with lights returning after hitting a bump. Now they seem to be off with no hope of coming back on.

loose wire my friend! search hard enough and u will find it!

Oh how I love tracking down a loose wire... Check the power side first, sounds like a short (because the interior lights dim). Have fun.

if u can't find the loose wire, don't feel bad if u take it to a garage that specializes in electrical. Acuras at that time are FULL of wiring and it is pretty hard to single out one loose one if its not exposed.

i think it is the cause of a loose wire. i also experience that kind of problem. when i tried to do check on the wirings there i found out that the loose wire cause that problem. i thought that time i am going to send it for an acura recalls.
