ALTERNATOR WIRING
I'LL TRY TO KEEP THIS SHORT AND TO THE POINT. I JUST COMPLETED AN ENGINE SWAP IN A 1931 ROLLS ROYCE REPLICA(OVER A 1968 BUICK SPECIAL CHASSIS). 350 BUICK ENG OUT,350 CHEVY ENGINE IN. THE CHEVY ENGINE IS A 1987 AND CAME WITH A 15SI ALTERNATOR. THE BUICK ALTERNATOR HAD AN EXTERNAL REGULATOR. PRESENTLY THE "NEW" 15SI ALTERNATOR IS CONNECTED AS FOLLOWS: # 1 SPADE TERMINAL CONNECTOR HAS ALMOST NO WIRE BUT IT APPEARS TO BE BLACK IN COLOR AND IS NOT CONNECTED.THE. #2 TERMINAL(RED) CONNECTS TO THE BACK OF THE ALTERNATOR ALONG WITH A 10 GA BATTERY CABLE THAT GOES TO THE + SIDE OF THE BATTERY,THE SECOND WIRE OF THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE GOES TO THE STARTER..ALL OF THE BUICK WIRING IS STILL IN PLACE AS IS THE EXTERNAL REGULATOR. I HAVE AN AMMETER THAT SHOWS DISCHARGE WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING(OF COURSE). I WOULD LIKE TO ADD AN IDIOT LIGHT AS WELL. I GUESS WHAT I NEED IS A DETAILED WIRING DIAGRAM OF THE ALTERNATOR HOOK UP THAT WILL INCLUDE ROUTING OF THE WIRING FOR THE AMMETER AND IDIOT LIGHT HELP//// THANKS IN ADVANCE

try to check out automd. it might help you. just want to know if you buy a new rolls royce oem parts and install to it.
