My 16 year old granddaughter wants a car just like my first car,1937 chevy coupe, I gave $18.00 a damm good bicycle and two reel type lawn mowers for it,I told her i saved the money from selling grit newspapers,I was 13 yrs old, does any one know where i can pick up a good runing 37 for 18.00 bucks? She will be waiting for a reply,I should have never showed her the pictures :shock:

Assuming you bought your first car around 1950, the Inflation Calculator says she's going to have to come up with $139.53 now. A damn good bicycle these days runs about $700, and a pair of reel type lawn mowers at Home Depot will run you about $300.

So, anyone know where you can pick up a 37 Chevy Coupe for $1139.53?

Still a good price,In 1996 i took a friend to laural Neb.I happened on to a old man who had three barns full of 20s & 30s model cars, to many to mention here but the most expensive was a 1929 Erskin,$700.00 the reason he wanted so much he said he still liked to drive it , Anyone from that area out there?
