[split] A/C Compressor problem. Ford Taurus

I have a 2000 Taurus. The AC Compress will not come on. How do I tell if it is the compressor or something else? Any help appreciated..

First check the fuses and relays. Then see if there is current to the connector on the compressor when you turn the switch on. If there is current there, the clutch and coil assembly is probably bad. if there is no current at the connector, trace it backwards until you fo=ind the problem. This is one reason everyone thinks we are too high on rates. It usually is not as simple as the owner thinks.
