88 Ford Tempo Stalling
Hi Everyone,

I've got a 88 Ford Tempo 2.3L FWD. Vehicle Stalls. Cranks on cold start up, after warm up stalls. Then after stalling, vehicle crank over and over, but wouldn't start. After 15mins, vehicle resting, vehicle would start. With key koeo, occassionally fuel pump would run continously. Fuel pressure 50psi within spec. Spark good. Recent repair. New fuel pump. Charging system good. Retrieved manual codes. Code 54, 87, 95. Code 54 Air Charge temperature sensor. Checked, within resistance. Checked KOEO, KOER. Good. Checked fuel circuit with noid light, good. Trying to locate processor and a air duct heat valve. What is that? Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Codes 87 and 95 are for fuel related circuit. Fuel pump relay clicks upon testing.

Thanks

RE: 88 Ford Tempo Stalling
Sorry for the late reply. Fixed the problem. There was a malfunction in the computer on the drivers side left kick panel tucked underneath the fuse panel. While the vehicle was running I tapped on the ECU and the vehicle stalled. Took apart the computer see if there was any damaged inside the computer, but it didn't look like there was. Seems like the was a defect in the transitors. Installed new ECU and vehicle runs fine.
