AB Air lockers on a jeep
I was just thinking of one of the most fun things I did or the most stupid? a freind asked me to give him a hand on his cj-7 jeep,he came to my garage in this beast with 44 inch tires, and asked me to mount a compressors to his jeep,i asked him what the hell you gonna do,fill those tires, ballons,or just blow it at your self to keep cool, well he says they run these and he shows me two huge rear axles and a crap load of rear end gears their detroit lockers(what the hell are those)tthats what i asked to, come to find out he wants me to put those in this little rear end on the jeep only because he didn't have a clue how to do it and i told him that makes two of us with no clue!!!so we sent the rear end out to seeif a machine shop could make little holes really big, they laughed at or plan and fit the axles to some bearings, and the fun began putting in the lockers which do exactly what thier called,we mounted the compressor in the front air intake on the cowl ,hooked in the air lines to the rear end lockers, hit the switch a few times for practice heard a click in the rear end ok we said the lockers are locking, now for the test drive,we went to a little up grade{him driving, iwas scared} he clicked in the lockers punched the throttle, poped the clutch and that s.o.b flipped completly over!! their we were dangling from out seat belts and thanking the creator of the roll bar, well before the cops showed up we got about seven guys to right the jeep and i went home to change my underware,he's still a freind of mine but my wife says i can't play with him any more.....have fun..

Lockers up, up and away!
That was a damn good story! I hate you didn't get video of it! We could all use a good laugh now and then. Most of my strange car stories are just pityful, not funny, except for pulling out of my work bay about a month ago,and taking off, only to run right into the side of another customer's car that had accidently run away backwards from another bay,
WITHOUT A DRIVER!
Thanks!
