got screwed over on repairs.....need advice on recourse Posted 7-1-2003 01:31
my transmission had been giving me trouble so i went to an econolube where i had gone for some time. the technician proceeded to do repairs and claimed that my speed senser needed to be replaced. they made the replacement and charged me $470.00 for parts and labor.
when i drove the car away it persisted in the same problems....nothing seemed to be fixed. i took the car back to them and they had my car for another week before i had to chase them through phone tag to ask about my car. they told me there was nothing more they could do and that i should take it to a toyota dealer (my car is a 93 corolla)....in essence i got screwed out of almost $500.00 for service that did not fiz my car.
what can i do in the way of recourse? can i just go and ask for my money back or something of that nature?????
please respond......my e-mail address is jck79@hotmail.com
any and all advice is greatly appreciated...
thanks in advance

well i would take it to a tranny shop with your econolube recept and ask it they can help
i also would have asked for the old speed sencor but i would take it to a tranny shop and have them check it out then get an esiment and talk to the manager of the econolube and see what they will do after you what is wrong eith your tranny and take it from there all ways have back up from a company that can tell you what is wrong with it if they are not willing to work with you at econo thats when you take it ferther like saying to them im going to contact bbb or a lawyer anything to get then to give a full or partial refund
refund minus part price
thats all i can think of goodluck!!
