My sisters escort broke down on me last night. The lights began to dim inside and outside the car and then i lost power and the car died. Any thoughts....i was thinking maybe the alternator.

sounds like the alternator to me , but to be sure it would be best to pull it out and get it tested first. good luck.

corroded battery terminals will make the car not start die and such check those first clean them even if they dont apear to need it then use gear greese or some kind of thick potrolium based product to keep corrosion away if that dont remedy the problen go ahead and find a parts store that does free testing on batteries and starters and alternators and have that done
