mr.'me'. after getting in some hours on my first visit here, am coming to the conclusion that you are probably on target with that appraisal. I will continue from here on with a cautious optimisim for results. capt.jim,,,, OUT!!!!
Just an observation.
If someone were standing on the corner, passing out five dollar bills, there would be those who would complain because it wasn't ten dollar bills.
I've used manuals that I've purchased (chilton, haynes, motor, etc), and had a fair degree of success, but there have been problems I couldn't solve with just the manuals. Now here's a sight with some online manuals and references and an advice forum where some mechanics, some experienced auto buffs and just plain folk who tinker can assist others with problems. Well, their not going to be able to solve every problem, but it's alot better than nothing. A whole lot better than paying a shop 60-70 bucks to say he can't find anything wrong.
And yet........................
I'm not in any way affiliated with this sight, but I know these guys are doing the best they can to try to help some others, based on their own experiences. And I'm glad their there. I'm sorry it doesn't meet your expectation. But it seems to me you haven't been able to diagnose your own problem yet!
Given enough details we can almost always advise a forum user with the information they will need to find a direction to go with the repair of their car.
I think you'll end up back here someday with a little better feeling about all the knowlegable VOLUNTEERS on board.
