Including a Picture
Test Picture

Ok guys, I've played around with it, and here's what it takes to put up a picture:

First, the hard part. The picture has to be on the web somewhere already. There isn't any way to do an upload in the BBS software. I'll work on finding some kind of work-around for that, but for now, the picture has to already be out there somewhere.

Once you are at the web site that has the picture you want, right click on it and choose Properties. It will show you the complete path to that picture, starting with an HTTP:// Highlight the whole path (it may wrap lines) and hit Control-C to save it to memory.

Then start (or add to) a message here at 10w40, and when you want to insert the picture just look for the buttom above labeled Img. Click it once, then hit Control-V to paste in the address you saved earlier, then hit the Img button a second time.

Now when the message appears, the picture will display too.

There isn't so much support for sounds. The best you can do is make a link to a sound file somewhere. You can do that as with the picture directions above, but click on the URL button before and after the link.

Yep, the little blue Alfa is mine.

As many of you know, I'm actually doing a work rotation in Germany right now, and while I was over here I figured I would pick up something that I can't get at home.

It's an Italian car, through and through - so it squeaks, rattles, and is persnickety as can be. The past 3 weeks have been non-stop electrical problems. I finally stopped trying to diagnose it (in 25 degree weather outside) and just put in a new battery. Duh. Works fine now. Sometimes I amaze myself with my over-analyzing things.

But I love this little car - it reminds me of the little Fiat X 1/9 I had when I met my wife. I spent half my time with that car with a wrench in my hand too.

My wife has a Mercedes E class, which is a joy and dependable as can be. Thank goodness at least one of us is a sensible person.
