Transmission propblems - 1995 GMC Yukon

The engine and transmission had 200K mikes.

Problem-Transmission would not get past 2nd gear:

I changed the Transmission and transfercase with a used-non-rebuit Transmission and transfer case. I am still experiencing simular problems with the transmission. It won't shift into 3rd gear until its been warmed up for 15-20 mins. Not sure if the replaced transmission is bad or could the problem be caused by something else. IE: an electrical problem?

hi sde- do you know the model of the trans....wether its electric or vacume and so on ...then maybe we can give a a better shot at the problem....crank.it

To find the trans code, you can look in the qlovebox, there will be
a sticker with all the codes for your truck.
4L60E==would be a MD8 with a 16 bolt pan..
4L80E ==would be a MT1 with a 17 bolt pan....
