engine shot
During hunting season a friend and avid hunter drove up to the shop in his F-250 4x4 . Engine was smoking badly and leaving a trail of oil. He hops out and exclaims "My engine`s shot". I said calm down its prob just a rear seal. he says, no you dont understand , i`ve SHOT my engine.Turns out as he was getting into truck with a large caliber rifle , he tossed rifle into floor, a chambered bullet fired .Went thru floor , bell housing , just missed torque converter ,thru back of engine and embedding itself on camshaft. You could sight thru holes and see bullet spinning. NOW before you all start, I climbed all over him. Dont put gun away with shell in chamber, dont throw gun into truck, QUIT using steel jacketed bullets !!

Hah hah great one! Will have to share that one with hubby and son, they will get a kick out of it.

Mmm hmm and around here my guys are deer hunters ...I have tried that a couple times, sitting up in a stand when it is about ten degrees outside holding on to a frozen piece of steel in the top of a tree...err well let us just say I too prefer to fish when there is a beautiful big ball of warm in the sky , slight breeze and the rock of a bass boat. Wink

Deer hunting is simple. I can go to the farm, sit in the warm house, look out picture window and watch deer cross the creek, open front door, shoot, then go out for a few minutes to bring it to the back of house. Not bad at all.

warm & cozy fishing eh . you havent been airboat fishin on the fl west coast flats in the dead of winter.peak of trout season. last winter the temp at the ramp was 24 deg and falling when we launched, long johns ,heavy jeans ,three shirts ,sweater, parka, neoprean fishing gloves , and two pair of socks was the uniform of the day. running for bout a hour to fishin spot at 45 mph with no windscreen gets chilly. You end up with frozen slobber on face . once the carb on my aircraft eng turned to block of ice. I love winter airboat trout ffishing

Retired---have you found any marbles lately? Seems like someone may think we actually had some sense at one time. Must be confusing us with gacyota and cranky. [smilie=pdt_leb.gif] [smilie=pdt_mat.gif] [smilie=pdt_ser.gif]

At one time I did have some sense. Then I started selling auto parts, and it's all gone downhill since then.
