ford ranger oil pan
hi floks -thought i would relay some onfo on doing a oil pan on a 1995 3.0 ford ranger...first off dont!!!!...all data gave pretty straight forward steps ...the old pan I cut out to save time(flat rate trick)...I had the engine off its mounts and the tranny up off its perch..i was missing the new pan sliding in by 3/4 of an inch hitting on the bell houseing...i measure the lift and was up almost 3 in...well still no go...i went up again now iam fearing damage to wiring or lines...at 4inch the pan just bearly slips in....then the pump and gasket had to be done....from inside the pan really exciting...id done alot of fords motor swaps pans clutches and never had a more miserable time...so in all the all data said 2 inch on motor and 2-4 inch on trans....go as hi as you can without damage to cables lines or harnesses....cranky

PS should of put this in another forum sorry guys....
