99Escort/AC clutch relay
I am trying to get my 99 escort AC clutch to engage.
I replaced the compressor and recharged as much as I could.
I bypassed the low pressure switch to engage the clutch with no luck.
Is there a relay in the system, and if so where is it ?
I could not find it in the owners manual.

Yes there is a relay for the compresssor clutch,,but I don't know exactly where. Usually I look for these things along the fender wells under the hood.

On a 99 there's a Constant Control Relay Module. It's mounted on rad core support to the right of hood latch. Before condemming it i would double check fuses and connections.

The constant control relay was the problem, it was located under the air cleaner filter housing. A LITTLE tricky to get to, but cured the problem.
The cost was pretty steep but I had no choice, dealer part at $213.
Thanks again for the help, hope the info is helpful.
