Sad if someone can help me with my 91 honda, accord exr. 1.6 liter engine. did fuel pump check, no problem. gas is
coming to engine. cleaned the points of contact inside distributor caps , remove all deposits. installed new rotor
from canadian tire. tried to start, engine tumbles fine, non start. checked spark plugs when ground on engine
for spark when engine tumbles. no spark from plugs are coming out. i am out of ideas, and cant think of anything
else to try. help thanks /would be grateful for any suggestions and ideas. if not i will have to sell it/ roger.

I cant don't have a listing for an Accord with a 1.6, either in a parts listing CD, or a repair CD ,,
I do have a listing for a 1.6 in a Honda Civic, but they don't have points , the 91 Civic has an electronic
ignition.

If it is an electronic ignition in a no spark condition, it could be the crank rotor, crank pick up,TDC pick up ,CYL pick-up,TDC rotor,CYL rotor, the ignition coil,or the igniter.
Remove distributor cap to check power source directly at coil.
Disconnect ignition coil primary leads. Turn ignition on. Using voltmeter, check voltage between ground and Black/Yellow wire terminal of ignition coil harness.
Battery voltage should be present. If battery voltage is not present, check for open in Black/Yellow wire between coil and ignition switch. On some models, an in-line radio noise condenser (mounted on distributor or near coil) is utilized. If condenser shorts out, power supply will be interrupted and vehicle will not start.
Turn ignition off. Disconnect harness connector at distributor. Turn ignition on. Using voltmeter, check for battery voltage between ground and Black/Yellow wire of harness. If voltage is not present, check for open in Black/Yellow wire between ignition coil and harness connector. If wire is okay, check ignition coil resistance for internal short to ground)

Igniter Check
Check TDC/CRANK/CYL SENSOR IS A COMBINATION SENSOR INSIDE THE DISTRIBUTOR , check for the proper resistance values. Check power sources. If no problems are found and spark is not present, replace igniter.

Ignition Coil Resistance
Turn ignition off. Remove distributor cap. Remove 2 Phillips screws retaining primary ignition leads to ignition coil. Remove primary leads from ignition coil. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between primary terminals "A" and "B" on ignition coil. Resistance should be .6-.8 ohms at room temperature. Check secondary resistance between terminal "A" and secondary output terminal .
If you need the values and terminal position I will look them up for you.
