1993 vw jetta clutch bearing & oil pan(REVISED QUESTION)
I have a 93 vw jetta, the oil pan gasket needs to be replaced. Do I have to separate the transmission from the block to replace the gasket? If so how far? Second question, when I replace the clutch bearing where is the cable adjustment. Is there any other special vw tricks I should know about. (Symptom) Sounds like throw out bearing -ticking/ clicking in a american car with a clutch fork & in neutral running and not in gear. Push in on the clutch and sound goes away, also sounds at take of in 1st , sometimes no sound at all ? Since the cluch bearing(throw out bearing) is at rear end of the trans would it,or could it be something else? I've never repaired a jetta so all your advise will help. Thanks, fstf2v----------- I looked at a older post and found the info I needed. NEW QUESTION. How long is the clutch rod? This one seems smashed a little on the clutch side.
