Learning to drive a manual transmission car too.
Since I couldn't reply to that other thread, I started this one.
I remember trying to teach my ex how to drive a stick. Everyday for about a week. I found out that I have no patience for it.
One day she wanted to take my truck to the store because it's an automatic. I wouldn't let her. I made her take the Pontiac LeMans (stick).
I watched her through the window as she tried to back out of the driveway.
15 minutes later, she had finally made it as far as the street in front of the next door neighbor's house.
She finally did get to the store and back. Bringing with her a ticket for running a stop sign. She didn't want to have to stop and start again. LOL
After that day, she only drove that car. After all I bought it for her.
We still laugh about it sometimes.
