81 toyo p/u clutch fan swap info needed

I own a 1981 toyo p/u sr5 with a 4spd auto/w overdrive. I wanted to install a electric fan with a control relay. I was refered to a Hayden #3647 control relay with a push in probe, wouldn't the one with a screw in probe(on the intake manifold) be better? Has anyone used one of these fan control relay setups? Which one or kind works best? Can I use a fan from the junk yard instead of buying a new one? I was looking for a little advise . Thanks - fstf2v
