2000 Chevy S10

Hey guys. Long time, no see. I hope you are all doing well and staying warm.

After I blew up my honda, I got this S10. It's a 4cyl 5 speed. I've had it since Sept. with no problems. About 3 weeks ago it wouldn't start. The starter engaged but just for a second. Like it just quit. After about 5 tries, I roll started it down my driveway. I had to go to work. When I left work, it started right up. I forgot all about it. A couple of days ago it happened again. Now, it's like hit and miss. Sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn't. I've checked all my connections. They are all clean and tight. I've also put a load tester on my battery. It's fine.

Any ideas?

Next time it no starts ,give the main body of starter a few med raps with a hammer, while someone holds the key in crank position. Dont beat the hell out of it !!!! If it starts , buy a starter.
