98 escort normal op temp
1998 escort wagon 140,00 miles. I just installed an electric water temp gauge, and was wondering what normal operating temp should be. the gauge is reading 230, and the factory "gauge" always runs half way. is the gauge right? 230 seems high to me. i was told the cooling fan kicks in at 215, but mine doesn't until the new gauge reads about 240. any thoughts?
