Any way to lower engine rpm's.Manual said if battery is low motor will idle slightly higher till battery is charged.New battery in ,but engine idles at about 1100 rpm.Any help would be appreciated.I believe the manual said there is no mechanical way to adjust the idle.Just wondering?

How long since the battery change? Sometimes it takes a few trips for the PCM to relearn the correct idle speed. If it has been a few days, the battery is not it. You may want to clean the throttle plate or look at the IAC motor.

Way2old the problem was the thermostat. When the warmer weather arrived the temp gauge increased to normal, the truck idled in the 600rpm area. The truck was running below cold mark and I believe the motor was thinking it was on cold start up.Thermostat changed all is well
