Flip you for it
A friend had an older shop in need of a few minor repairs . One of these was the single post hyd lift in middle of shop . It would leak UP unless the handle was tied in the down position. One evening the shop parts getter, an older ford van,was parked in shop over lift. You quessed it ,the handle was not secured. The lift came up and flipped the van on its side in middle of shop during the night . Next morning after coffee , pictures and a round of the blame game , the wrecker dragged the van out on its side and righted it. HE drove it about a year with one side flat as a pancake. BTW he replaced the $5 valve for lift that same day.
