INJURED RETIRED
Our OLD buddy re-tired had a meeting with a cypress tree yesterday and is a little under the weather today. So if anyone has a tear to shed, all is OK. The cypress tree is OK. Re-tired is in one piece, but the boat is another story. [smilie=pdt_tit.gif]

As they say, Here's the rest of the story. A friend who is a banker recentley bought a airboat with a high performance SB 400 cheby motor and a carbon fiber prop. He asked to to add some electrical accessories. When he came to pickup boat he asked if I would go for a test ride and tell him if I saw anything to adj/repair. Little did i know it was his 2nd or 3rd time driviving a airboat .The local river is only a few hundred feet wide and runs like a snake . He overshot a tight turn and away we went  . We knocked down several small trees and shrubs and came to an abrupt stop at a large cypress . I was thrown clear but luckily the ground broke my fall .The driver suffered a bruised ego  and I got a jammed shoulder. Everything is ok , after minor repairs drove boat back to dock . last i saw of friend he was headed home to explain to wife what happened to new $17,000. airboat. Gee I hope he pulls thru.

Sounds like your buddy just learned a lesson. High performance, anything, need to be treated with respect. At least until you think you have a handle on it. Then you'll know.

Any way. Glad to hear you weren't seriously hurt.
