90 MAZDA B2600i PICK UP CAMSHAFT SPROCKET
Hello everyone,

I posted a no start awhile ago on a 90 Mazda B2600i pick up, 4x4, 2.6L. I verified that there was no compression. Took off the timing cover. There was no distributor gear. Dropped the oil pan and found chunks of distributor gear pieces. Could this do damage already to the engine? The distributor turned the distributor gear, but if there is no distributor gear, the chain would not turn. Also, I mentioned in the previous post that the valves were bent. That's why there was no compression. But the true question is, why did the distributor gear break into pieces.? UMMM... MILLION THANKS!
