1996 Camaro broken window regulator rivets
Good morning!
I have a 1996 Camaro 3.8L and I noticed the window had slid down. When I removed the door panel I noticed some broken rivets that allowed the regulator to be pulled away from the door. I have attached a photo for reference. How do I fix this without further damage to the door? The rivet posts are still intact and just inside the door skin.

Life is not a journey with the sole intention of arriving in Heaven in a well-preserved body, but rather to come skidding in sideways in a cloud of dust, beaten and ragged, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a ride!"

I really don't see a problem with using 5/16" rivets again.
The rivet posts are still intact.
I would just buy 5/16" good quality rivets and reinstall the regulator.

Jgate, Thanks for your reply!
I guess I failed to mention that the rest of the rivet is still in the regulator bracket. Do I have to totally remove the hardware from the door to get the rivet out?

I really don't know how much access you might have ,
Can you hold the regulator in place and carefully drill through the rivet ports?
If not then yes I do recommend removal of the regulator..
I do believe these are 5/16" rivets but might be only 1/4"
