not sure whats goin on
Saturday i was driving along and my 90 accord began to jerk as if misfiring when in low rpms, when i had it revved high it seem to go away whether in 1,2,3,4,5 I was lead to believe it was the fuel pump due to a similar experience i had back in december after letting the fuel run low. So i went ahead and changed the fuel pump, after changing the fuel pump with no luck i checked to see if there was spark, no spark. so i then referred to the very helpful folks at 10w30 which have helped me greatly in the past with all of my buckets. I have now changed the fuel pump, distrbutor rotor, distributor, distributor cap, I do in fact have spark now but still no start, I have checked the fuel valve for fuel and do seem to be getting fuel when i turn on the ignition, however no catches/start. I removed the car alarm that had a start disable feature with once again no luck in starting the vehicle. I cannot comprehend what could possible be the problem this vehicle is not starting. Please help with any ideas you may have.

I know it may sound crazy to you, but have the alternator tested. You may have a bad diode or diode going bad. I have run across this problem before. In case you havent already done it, check all of your fuses also. Hope it helps

I dont understand why i wouldnt get a check engine code before the car died or at all. What kind of symptoms does a bad ecu produce, will there be anything other than the car just not starting.

be sure to check your timing belt. they are capable of jumping a few teeth . just enough to cause a no start.

Re: not sure whats goin on
The mechanic who changed my timing belt left white marks on it so as to know where to put the new one, i believe since those line up that it has not jumped any, i may be wrong. I am hearing alot about the main relay causing the car to not start, if the relay was the problem would you still get crank, spark, fuel and still no start?

glad your belt checked out. i'm just tossing some ideas up . you seem to have all the things needed for a running eng. some things i have run into are . Is fuel clean , at right pressure?. are injectors firing * you need a noid lite to test , avil at parts house .are plugs clean ,gapped right ,put a rad tester on rad apply press and let it sit about 30min, remove spark plugs and crank eng over ,any moisture out of cyl's means head /gasket probs. . the next thing is rare but see if new cap is stanmped MADE IN ITALY Ive had dozens of cars with this prob.,if you do get an OEM one. hope i have been of some help.
