1999 ford explorer sport 4x4
I was hoping to get your opinions on the 5 speed automatic 2/3 flare which I have heard is quite common with these transmissions.Mine, as the truck transmission warms up you get a engine rev between these gears.It is only about a second long,but the trams shifts smooth otherwise.
They tell me i need a new valve body gasket,and that solves approximately 90% of all cases.Anyone have experience .with this.I'm planning on taking the truck into the tranny shop Monday or Tuesday.

Took it in today,just hoping for any opinions,but ended up being the valve body gasket.Completely blown out.Being repaired as I speak.Thanks .
