90 accord recharging a/c
I had the timing belt change last january, The mechanic apparently drained my refrigerant. How do i go about converting and recharging my a/c?

help i need my car

Do you have , or have access to a vacuum pump? you do have to pull a vacuum on the system to avoid contamination. And you will also need some sort of reclaimer unit for the R12 freon, it is considered as a hazardous material.
Actually only a certified /licensed A/C tech by law are allowed to reclaim R12.
As far as the Retrofit/recharge kit (NAPA #765-2979) you can pick them up at any parts store, they do come with limited instructions.

If you are converting from R-12 to R-134, you should flush the stytem. There are flushing fluids for that purpose. Also, you need to change the receiver-drier/accumulator, or what ever Honda calls the equivalent device. Given the age of the vehicle, the hoses probably should be changed, because R-134 operates at higher pressures than does R-12. If you don' t have the proper equipment, I would suggest having an AC shop do the work. That may save you money and trouble in the long run.
