Searching for a new(er) car
I've been out car shopping and i think im gonna end up getting an 03-05 Focus. They seem to be nice little cars and as far as I know have had no major issues.
So do you guys have to do more than routine maintenance to these or are they pretty reliable cars?

Just put a 2000 Taurus with approx. 47k miles on yesterday. Has new struts all around. Tires are also fairly new. Link below

Hers she is. It's an 04 Focus SVT with 97K and I got her for $4000. The engine sounds good and runs great (she's quick), the 6 speed MT shifts smoothly and other than a random CEL, no driveability issues.

Damn, lost another sale. Could have made a lot of money from the Buckeye. Probably would have bought him li=unch for buying the car.

Re: Searching for a new(er) car
I let my dad have the car last week, he is a senior master tech at a Ford dealer. He took it in and checked it out and gave me copies of a couple TSBs that I will be able to fix. Most of the TSBs that jgate listed do not apply to my car. The only thing Ford on this thing is the body and nameplate. And sorry bout the lost sale w2o. When I started my car search, this was the first car I drove and I loved it. I drove many other cars after that, but I came back to this one and I'm glad I did. Big Grin Big Grin
